Çeşme
Hey! Back from the best vacation ever, in Çeşme! Here's some pics!
View from Hotel Room in Ilıca:

Waterfront in Çeşme:

On our first full day in Çeşme, Seymen and I did an all day boat cruise. THe agenda is basically lay out in the sun on a sailboat, anchor in beautiful coves, swim, eat lunch, move to another cove, sunbathe, swim, and then finally go home at 5:30PM.
Here is the boat next to ours (I didn't get a picture of ours. The boat next to us held probably 10 people. Our boat could hold up to 30, so it was a bit larger)

Sailing on the boat:

One of the Coves we swam in:

Another boat, one of the Party Boats showing their Turkish Pride ;-)

On the recommendation of Seymen's cousin, on our 2nd full day, we tried the "Aqua Beach". There was a thermal pool, and access to the Sea. We swam in both.

For our last night in Çeşme, Seymen and I reserved a table at this wonderful homestyle restuarant at the Waterfront. We had a delicious, leisurely dinner and then walked the main streets souvenir shopping.

Cumalikizik
Today we went to a 600 Year Old Ottoman Village, named "Cumalıkızık" where we walked around and then ate lunch in someone's house where they make this specific dish called: "gözleme". It's basically dough with (we chose) potatoe inside. Of course it's absolutely delicious...and of course had a cup of tea to wash it down with :-)

Accident Prone
So it's been proven...I'm totally, 100%, accident prone. This past Sunday, we were planning to have a "work in the office" day. But by the time we were able to actually implement this plan, it was afternoon. So we pushed through, and later in the afternoon a friend of mine stopped by...Unfortunately, we took so long with her that we were late for dinner with a stop at Wegmans that needed to be made before heading out...
So, smart one that I am, decided to leave my friend here, and drive over to Wegmans really quick to pick up our stuff, giving them time finish up. Well I jumped in my car (in a hurry of course), open the garage, threw my car into reverse, and lightly tapped the gas pedel.
CRASH...My car ran into something. I stopped the car and looked behind me....Sue's car was driving itself backwards in my driveway!!!
I jumped out of the car and ran for it, thinking (unreasonably so) that I could stop the car from rolling! When I reached it, I realized I was going to get run over and I needed to get out of the way so I jumped to saftey, right on top of my neighbors lawn ornament, and just sat watching Sue car hit the fence and her rearview mirror pop off.
Well...omitting all the gory details, Sue and I are STILLL friends...She was the most gracious person about me running straight into her car...And luckily her car damage wasn't that bad...My car damage on the otherhand was worse, but still fixable...
Anyway, I took a picture of the site of the accident...You can clearly see where Sue's poor little car ran over the garden flowers right into the fence.
