Geek-Fun
Interested in some "Geek-Fun"? My instructor gave us a suggestion of something to do this weekend if bored...
1. Take 2 linksys routers (or whatever brand you prefer)
2. Take a crossover cable and connect port 1 of Router 1 to Port 1 of Router 2.
3. Take a 2nd crossover cable and connect port 2 of router 1 to port 2 or router 2.
4. Connect a PC to port 3 of router 1 or 2.
5. Send a ping from PC, and watch (w/ a protocol analyzer) the broadcast storm take down ports 1 and 2.
Don't know exactly why I found that so amusing...guess I must be getting tired...
(Can you tell we're covering STP?) heheheh

Black Tie Invitations
I started making the black tie invitations last night...I'm super excited. I can't wait. I took a picture of the invitation sample that I made and sent it to my mom so she could see it right away :-) And I just so happen to have the sample! YEAY :-) Isn't it pretty!?

I finally got a DOG!!!
I finally got a DOG!!! His name is Salty. He's a Chocolate lab puppy. He knows his name, he can sit, and he pees all the time when I walk him...Oh yeah, did I mention that he's on my nintendo DS? So I can bring him on all my business trips too... :-) hehehehehe.
Anyway, another great game...Cake Mania! You can't beat that can you? The whole goal is to bake cakes, frost them and sell them to your customers. It's really an easy game, kind of stupid, but you know what? I'm definitely going to sit around all next week while on business and play it at night ;-) Because I LOVEEEEE my pink nintendo DS...
Tonight Seymen and I were supposed to have a Date night before I left. We were going to go out to a nice dinner and have a drink out on the town, just the two of us. Well, as it turned out, we ended up deciding to stay at home, order pizza, and play Nintendo DS. We've been taking turns (if you'd call it that ;-) hehehe). I now wish Seymen had his OWNNN DS, so we could play multiplayer!!! Anyway, I better go...Seymen gets the DS as long as it takes me to write this entry and fold my laundry. Then it's my turn ;-)

Still Going Strong
So I'm still going strong on Operation "Work off my Travel Fat". I"ve actually have 4 solid weeks of going to the gym 4-5 times during the week. I've settled into the Spinning classes, usually 2-3 classes a week, and 2 classes a week of Kick.
Now comes the BIGGGG challenge. I start travelling again next week. I'm super worried that I'm going to loose my exercise regimine while on the road...So this trip...I've found a solution ;-) I found a gym 3 miles from where I'll be staying. I've already made contact and plans to go to Spinning and Kick class every night after my class is over. Phewww! That takes care of January...and Feburary my trip was changed back to San Jose...So I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and join the Cisco gym in SJ...
Anyway, I'm super proud of myself :-) Thanks to a great workout partner (in Laura!) and the guilt factor of if Seymen goes, then I feel guilty, or if I go, he feels guilty...I've been very dedicated!! Oh and of course to fun tools that always make me even more motivated to do stuff...My new heart rate monitor for spinning class, so I can ensure the most optimal workout of all ;-) (Thanks to Seymen for the Christmas present) :-)
