Kareoke...Etc. Night @ Thuan and Chau's
So tonight Seymen and I went to Thuan and Chau's for dinner and hanging out. We were really reallly realllllly late. Seymen and I were talking about this as we were rushing to get to their house...we're just a baaaad couple. If I am ontime, then Seymen is late...if Seymen is ontime, then I'm late. No matter what we do, when we do it together, we are averaging about an hour to an hour and half delay. My family had become the wiser and started inviting us an hour to two hours early, to ensure that we will only be like 15-20 mins late :-)
Anyway, this time it was my fault. I went to get my hair highlighted and it took FOREVERRR...but it was well worth the wait because I think the highlights came out really nice ;0). Anyway, when we arrived at the house, everyone was sitting around waiting...they held dinner for us...Opppps :-/ But in the end it worked out and no one seemed to mind ;-) They had already eaten an entire platter of Chau's egg roles, so no one was too upset with us :-)
So the thing that I love about this group of friends is that we are really just a bunch of losers, but have so much fun together. This group of friends really enjoys just getting together, cooking/eating DELICIOUS food, playing games and singing kareoke. Tonight, Seymen brought the WII over, we had a few Tourney's...Tennis, Bowling, and Baseball. Closer to the end of the playing of the WII, Johnny and Nate somehow managed to get the microphones and started doing a Sports Commentary. I tried to get on the show, but "Security" kicked me out because I was saying inappropriate comments ;-) hehehehe :-) Afterwards, we had group Kareoke, where we passed around the Mic. and sang along. My debut was: The Rose, by Bette Midler...Singing duet with Nate's friend Laura....ohhhh, and Nate and I had a really successful duet on: Fire and Rain, by James Taylor.
Anyway, it was really just a fun night...It was a relaxing friday evening, and made me so happy to have such a great start to the weekend. I still have tons to do before I leave on Sunday...but I did manage to pack my clothes so hopefully I won't be in as mad of a rush as I was the last time I went...oh and I had to pack extra because I'm making a quick stop off in Denver, CO for the weekend...to visit my family and celebrate Gina's birthday with her in Silverthorn! ;-)
