Thank GOD!!! it's Friday!!
OMG, what a long drawn out short week!!! I'm soooo glad it's finally friday. I am EXHAUSTED! Between, not really having time to relax during the break, and coming back to work and the gym, I am ready to PASS OUT :-) But like a good little girl, I went to the gym every morning for an hour...and everynight promptly at 9:00PM (or as close to it as I can get) I find myself in bed and drifting off to sleep as I read my books.
So, anyway...I finished the first book that I started reading Tuesday at the gym, on Wednesday night. So, Thursday I hadn't had a chance to go shopping to buy some new books (with my awesome christmas presents - gift cards to Borders and Barnes and Noble!)...Anyway...I decided to start this book that my grandmother sent me: "Digging to America". It is about two families that are both adopting little girls from Korea. One family is a U.S. born, and bred family. The other is a family that is 1st and 2nd generation immigrants from Iran. It tells a story of how these two families, meet at the airport when their daughters arrive, and the difference between the two families...
I started reading it while I was on the treadmill. About 5 sentances into the book, I'm on the treadmill, crying, and frantically reading because I'm totally hooked...It's a really good book. It is also really close to home (since I am the little baby girl adopted from Korea)...but anyway, it is an excellent book so far.

I understand the benefit of multi tasking but gym is a place to exercise not reading! Drop the book!

What's the difference between reading, and watching TV, or listening to music while you work out??? Or reading a magazine?? I still need to keep myself occupied while doing something pretty unstimulating for my mind...otherwise, I'd probably leave and go to Dunkin Doughnuts ;-) hehehe
