Winter Whiz-Bang Tourny!
I'm so excited!!! I LOVEEEEEEE Thanksgiving! I was dying to leave work all day today...Now I am just waiting for my sister to pick me up so we can go to my mom's for the night. Seymen and I have decided to sleep there, giving us even more time to play Whiz-bang! Tonight is the beginning of our winter obession with Whiz-bang. We usually play all night for the entire week! and continue through Christmas :-) And now, all we have to do is stumble upstairs to bed instead of driving all the way home at 1AM :-)
Yeayy!!! I really do LOVE THanksgiving. It is one of my favorite holidays...other than Christmas, and my birthday ;-) heheheh. Anyway, I'm planning on not stressing or even thinking about work in any way shape or form :-) I feel so lovely right now!! OK...well I better get going...
HAPPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!

Early Thanksgiving Dinner with Friends
So, we had our 8th annual Early Thanksgiving Dinner with friends tonight. It was so much fun. A total success! On Saturday, Denise and I spent all day cooking the side dishes. Today, I woke up early and headed to Nate's...where I spent the day cooking the turkey and stuffing and mashed potatoes, and watching TV. We planned it perfectly this year, so I wasn't tired at all. It was a relaxing day with Seymen and Nate.
Once everyone showed up it was alot of fun! We have about 17 people there (phew!! because our count yesterday was 35! Thank goodness people ditched ;-) because we had JUST enough chairs. We have so much food though...Seymen and I will be eating Thanksgiving dinner for the next two weeks!
Anyway, it was a great time. We had some special guests too...the Japanese guys from Fuji joined the party as well, for their first ever Thanksgiving dinner! After eating we sat around and had Karakoe night. Everyone's names were put in a hat and then Duos and Trios were chosen to go sing. Afterwards, we played this game called Celebraty, which was really fun, and FUNNYY. I am still laughing over the antics of everyone :-) We ended the night with a trumpet solo from Nate, and a potential tip from a friend that the cops were coming due to noise distrubance ;-) must have been the trumpet that three them off ;-) LOL
Anyway, now I am stuffed and ready for bed...but it was definitely a Early Thanksgiving History year because it was so much fun!!!
And of course, here's some pictures. (Check the side, photo section)

Customs
Seymen and I made to it Ottawa with surprisingly NO problems at all...As we got closer to the border, the more nervouse we became. It was a little crazy because I've crossed the border at the 1,000 islands a million times in my life. I've never been nervouse about it before. It was also strange because with my family, I'm usually the center of attention from the Customs officers...but thank god for Seymen and his Turkish Passport, because the dude didn't even care about me ;-) hehehehe! What a change. Anyway, here's an excerpt of the conversation at the border...
Seymen: Hi! How are you?
Customs Guy: You will find out in a minute.
Seymen: (no sound)...*palms instantly started sweating*
...Three minutes later...
*Hands still sweating, but driving through Canada!*

Internet Withdrawal
So our Internet broke yesterday afternoon. It's been a very traumatizing event. After Seymen tried to blame ME for breaking the internet ;-)) he finally called Timewarner...come to find out that we having packet loss from the box outside of our apartment. Of course it was the worst afternoon and evening ever to be without internet. We were at such a loss that we packed up all Seymen's stuff and went over to my mom's...where we conveniently crashed their dinner, and spent the evening using their internet and hanging out.
OK, I know it's a bit dramatic, but honestly, we both kept forgettign taht we have no internet. It is very isolating to be in the apartment with no link to the outside world!! I can't remember what I did before the Internet!
So anyway, it was a nice weekend after I paid penance for the drinking festivities on Friday night. Saturday night, Seymen and I went to see my step-brother Brennie in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. It was an amazing show. They have been practicing since August, and had both Seymen and I entranced and awed :-)
