Flight Delayed

I can't believe it but I actually slept really soundly last night. Seymen and I went to dinner with Alex, Cathy, and AnG at the Korea House last night. After dinner, we headed to target so I could buy a new laptop bag because min ripped. When we were there we ran into Cathy and Alex again :-) So, we came home, and I don't even remember what exactly it was that I did, but I was on the computer...Ohh yeah, I was working...and then when that was done I called Maki and she talked me through unpacking a bunch of items from my bag...to ensure that I have enough space for all the presents that I'm planning to buy. We worked through a plan for the entire week, which leaves me with two free days to tour by myself...Saturday and Monday.

After my phone call with her, I went ahead and packed my new laptop bag...unpacked it, repacked it...unpacked more books from my big bag...I ended up with 6 romance novels (instead of 8) and 3 pairs of pants/skirt (instead of 6), and only 2 pairs of shoes (instead of 4). I feel much better about the amount of stuff that I'm taking.

I'm was totally wound up though. I usually way under pack for trips and last night for some reason I was freaking out and adding so much unnecessary stuff. I was completely freaked out all day yesterday. I thought for sure I wouldn't be able to sleep last night...but I went to bed and fell asleep immediately and didn't wake up (nor have bad dreams) until 5:45AM.

So, Seymen drove me to the airport and went with me to check in. (Good thing he came in with me!) As it turns out, my flight to Chicago is delayed 2 hours. The crew came in late last night, so I guess they need to sleep some extra hours. Either way, I should be able to make my connection. I have an hour in between flights now...instead of 3. So I'm glad that I get to spend those extra three hours with Seymen. He brought me to McD's for breakfast and then to work. I am currently sitting directly behind him :-) Occasionally, I will bump my chair into his, just so he remembers that I'm still here ;-) hehehe.

So anyway...here I am...just waiting with baited breath for my flights to take off! and start my big journey to Japan.
