Goodbye Friends
So this week is very very sad week for me. Two of my goood friends are leaving :-( It was bad enough dealing with Maki leaving and moving to NJ, but we just received word that Minako is moving as well. She was offered a job in L.A. (YEAYY MINAKO!!!) and needs to move there ASAP! She's leaving TOMORROW!!! OMG!! It's so fast!!
So, after Maki's going away party on saturday, we celebrated Minako's going away party last night! (Boooo!!!) But it was actually a really great time. They rented a suite at the Strathallen Hotel and had a big party there! There was so much food!!! And lucky Minako had a tray of "Toro-only-Sushi" donated from Tanaka-san @ Shiki! Once it was placed on the table, it dissapeared in about 3 seconds flat! Fukuo-san, one of Minako and Maki's friends (and is the waitress at Shiki) so kindly put a piece of toro aside for Seymen because he was late. (She knows how much Seymen LOVESSSS toro!) At one point, someone found the extra piece that was hiding and we had to make an announcement to save it, and no, no one was trying to hoard the toro :-) hehehehehe. It was really funny.
Anyway, I'm very sad to see my two good friends go, and half of the Asian Sensations leaving Rochester...the only good news is that I'm going to L.A. on business not this week but next, so I will see Minako then (hopefully!) and the week after that I will be going to Japan so I will see Maki when I'm there :-) And of course we have the U.S. Wedding for Maki and Richard in December, so the Asian Sensations will be re-united :-)
Anyway, here's pictures from Minako's Going Away Party.

Where is Tip #12?
So I went to my third cake decorating class today. I realized that I couldn't find my tip #12! (It's a larger round circle) I needed it to make roses and I ended up having to borrow my teachers. So class went on. It's was a good class again. I signed up for course two, learned how to make two different types of drop flowers, how to make a clown...etc.
Anyway, when I came home I was cleaning out my frosting containers in the sink. I dumped some of my frosting in the disposal because it was too soft. I ran the garbage disposal to get rid of it. Suddenly, I heard this horrible sound of metal grinding metal. I looked over and Seymen and he had this look of horror on his face. OMG! TIP #12!!! (Meanwhile Seymen's yelling...OMG!! Your going to ruin the garbage disposal!!)
I quickly turned off the garbage disposal and stuck my hand down the drain. I felt around...and low and behold...I found tip #12!! Pheww...I pulled it out and to my horror...It now looks like a demented tip #104 :-((( (Tip 104 is the rose petal tip) I'm so sad :-( Now I have to go buy a new tip :-( Seymen is just relieved that I didn't break the garbage disposal...that he's still proud of installing into our sink...and doesn't care about my tip #12. Anyway, here's a picture of my tip :-( Booooooo!!

Oh and while we're on the subject of complaining...I have 2 bug bits on my toes. One on my big toe, and one on my middle toe...right on the top. They itch really bad and you know when you get bites on your toes and you can never quite itch them to your satisfaction? That's what I've been dealing with for two nights. I wonder why it doesn't bother me all day long at work, but as soon as I'm home, or in bed sleeping, they itch like crazy. Boooooooo :-(

RV Party
So the RV party is now complete. Everything went great. There was tons of food and drinks, and lots of people showed up. AnG and Alex came to the party on behalf of me, to keep me company ;-) My dad was so excited. He kept turning on the generator, turning it off, turning the motor on, turning it off, and finally plugged it in and left it alone ;-)
Here is a picture of the "Meet the Brownstein's" RV ;-)

At that point my sister thought it would be really funny if I got in the front seat and turned on the engine. My dad was outside the RV talking to his friends...so I took her up on her dare, got in the front seat, and turned on the engine. My dad turned around and started waving his arms around going: "TURN IT OFF!!! TURN IT OFFF!" hehehehe. I'm still laughing about it. Here's a picture of me laughing at my dad yelling at me for turning on the engine of the RV.

Here's all the pics from the RV party.

RV Party
So my dad and step-mom bought a "Meet the Fockers" Style RV. They are picking it up tonight. They've planned an RV party so everyone can come over and see it. I invited Alex to join the party since his dream is to drive somewhere in an RV. (He and Seymen both have the same dream...strange...very strange...but whatever) :-)
Beth: Hey
Alex: dude
Beth: Are you still stopping by tonight?
Alex: what time is the party starting
Beth: You can come anytime
Alex: I will either run there of bike there
Beth: Cooool :-))
Beth: You remember where they are?
Alex: of course
Beth: It's the house with the BIG RV out front ;-)
Beth: hehehe

I'm Going to JAPAN!!!
OK, so we've made a decision...Maki and I have discussed and discussed this issue, and it's been decided. I am going to go to Japan by myself. I am going to buy my tickets tomorrow morning. I can't believe I'm actually going. I'm so excited. My mind is racing with all the things that I need to do to get ready to meet Maki's family :-) I can't wait. I have to #1. Learn Japanese. #2. Make them a scrapbook, with Japanese subtitles. #3. Write a speech for her wedding. #4. I don't even know...#3 is as far as I got. :-) So anyway, wish me luck with the ticket buying!!

Chased by a Bee
So I joined the "Indian Food Lunch Group" for lunch today. Every week they go to either Indian food, or some other ethnic food restuarant. I suggested that they try the Korean House (behing Lori's Natural Foods), because it is very delicious. When they decided to go there, I decided to tag along :-)
So anyway, we drove back, tummys all satisfied with good eats...When I exited my car, a bee was flying around the door. I got out and it started chasing me. I walked and it moved with me. I ran, and it moved with me. I started screaming and dropped my purse and ran even faster (Picture me with my cute bow high heels running around the parking lot screaming, dropping my coach purse on the parking lot ;-). Eventually I out ran the bee...phewww. I went back to go pick up my purse. As we were walking inside, the bee came back at the door and was trying to chase me there too...so I did a sweet little side step manuver, but instead...I hit my shoulder on the railing.
The good news is, I didn't get stung by the bee. The bad news is, I made a spectacle of myself in the parking lot and ended up with a dirty purse and a bruise on my shoulder ;-) All in the name of excellent Korean food ;-))

Peach Margaritas
So I had a bit of a run in with a few peach margaritas on Friday night. I thought if I started my happy hour a little later at night, I would be better off. Unfortunately, I switched from my usual Apple-tinis to Peach Margaritas. OMG! They are delicious. Sooo delicious that I didn't realized that I had sucked down three in the course of 2 hours! OMG! It was bad news. But thankfully Seymen wasn't upset and I was able to walk myself to the car and into the apartment before passing out in bed ;-)
Saturday was a day of rest. We took our time getting up and moving. We went out to price compare for my Cake decorating class. We were supposed to go to Old Navy and buy jeans for Seymen, but we were side tracked by Jared's where Seymen bought my a completely unnecessary, but oh so lovely present. I can't wait for Christmas so I can finally wear my new present outside of the house.
Today we re-did the shopping spree and bought all the cake supplies, hit up linen's and things for this great shelf organizer for the cupboard above the stove (since we have a million other cake decorating supplies, and two million boxes of teas). We also hit old navy during their special sale where every hour on the hour they hand out peel away coupons. I won $10 of a purchase of $50 or more. Seymen won a sheet of stickers. LOL :-) He felt pretty cheated with the stickers.
Anyway, we're heading out a dinner at Jake's house...for Stephy's farewell dinner. My mom already told me yesterday that she's going to cry so hard when they leave. Poooor mom.

1st Cake Decorating Class
I had my first cake decorating class yesterday! OMG! I learned so much! I have to bake a cake and have it frosted for class next Thursday! :-)) And I learned all the tips and tricks on how to make a completely flat cake, and make the frosting smooth and even so you can't see any lines or creases!! Hopefully it'll work as easily as it looked! But I have to admit, I am a bit intimidated. I can't wait for Thursday. I also will be baking 1 cake every week for the next 3 months...so I will have to have alot of friday night dinner parties to get my friends to EAT all of my practice cakes!! ;-)
I just received approval for my first cake design:

I chose this because Seymen LOVES Hello Kitty :-)

On Schedule for Tonight
On screen tonight: The Prince and Me 2: Royal Wedding :-)) I'm sooo excited!!!
Picking up where The Prince and Me left off, this sequal focuses on the preparations for the royal nuptials between the Danish Prince Edvard and his all-American bride-to-be, Paige Morgan. But the wedding is threatened when the couple discovers an antiquated law that requires the prince to marry a women with royal blood...
*insert dramatic pause*
or give up his crown...
Doesn't this sound like such a fun movie :-)
...Meanwhile, across the desk from me...Sey-dog is all upset and asking me hypothetical questions, which I'm not really paying attention too becuase I'm so excited for the Prince and Me 2, and when I asked him to repeat the question this was his response:
Him: "Dude. You are out as a developer."
Me: "What?! Why am I out? I was just trying to understand the questions because I wasn't paying attention because I was writing in my blog about the Prince and Me 2."
Him: "Well then your out as a listener."
LOL :-))) I guess I'm out ;-) Nighty night!

It's a small world after all
So I went home today and I was talking to my dad and step-mom about work. My step-mom asked me who the CEO was, apparently for the first time in 3-4 years, I never mentioned it. As it turned out, she KNOWS him! They were good family friends! Justin, my step-brother gave one of his kids chicken pox when they were little! Isn't that weird?!?
On another note...it's not looking so good for the Japan trip. Seymen's stuff hasn't worked out so far and the wedding is less than 2 months away. Maki doesn't want me to go by myself, especially when she'll be busy doing all the wedding stuff...so it's time for me to make a decision. I'm really dissapointed, but I figure maybe now isn't the best time to go. It would be AMAZING to go with Maki and see her wedding and participate (and wear a Komono!!) but it would be even better to go back with her one day when she wasn't so busy and she had the time to really show me around and go with me to Pusan, Korea.
We still have the travel voucher that we need to use...so I'm trying to think of a really COOL, exotic place, outside of the U.S., where they don't speak English, and that isn't Turkey...to go. (Do you think we're high maintenance with all the requirements that we have! ;-) I really really want to take another vacation...and this year I've started accruing 3 weeks of vacation, with an extra week off at Christmas as a gift that they gave us earlier in the year...So I just have to convince Seymen on the benefits of going someplace COOL...LIKE MORRACO - CASABLANCA! Or Croatia (Supposedly they have un-founded beaches there that are the BEST in the WORLD!)...Anyone have any good ideas?!?!?! I'm going to look at google maps to see if I can find someplace extra COOL and EXOTIC! ;-)

Ugghhh...the Dentist
So I had to go to the dentist today for my 6-month cleaning :-( Booo...It put me in a bad mood all morning just because I had to go. I wasn't even scheduled to get anything filled and no shots, but I was still nervouse. Everytime I even think about the dentist my hands sweat.
Anyway, I went...and everything is in good working order, minus to root canal that I need on the left hand side of my jaw, and the filling that is sensative to both heat and cold. The dentist checked out the sensativity by taking the bottom end of the little mouth mirror and banging (and not so gently might I add) on my teeth untill I yelled out "OWWWWWWWWW". Apparently, that is the medical procedure for finding the sensative tooth.
But whatever works. I have to go back and get a medicated filling to see if that will help with the sensativity problem. She wants to avoid telling me that I have to have a root canal on that side too...because the last time she told me that I started sobbing uncontrollably and then cancelled my next appointment ;-) I'm such a whimp :-)

Birthday Weekend
We had a huge birthday weekend! My grandma's birthday, my step-dad's, and my sister's birthdays are all the first week of August! Friday night we had just regular family dinner, where all sat around staring at my neice, oooooo-ing and ahhhh-ing over how cute and smart she is ;-). Saturday we helped my mom pull of surprise party for my Step-dad's 60th! He had no clue that it was happening until they came home from sailing, and Seymen, Grandma, and I had set up all the tables, and twinkle lights, and food! :-) Again, he thought it was just a family birthday dinner. He was extremely surprised when 40 of his friends showed up for an evening of food and fun :-)
My sister's birthday began Saturday night at midnight. Well...actually it started before then for her, but we switched offically to her birthday celebration at 12. We had moved down to Schooners (some of us...the "kids") and she had a birthday shot and a bottle of birthday champagne.
Today, she looked a little under the weather. We had another birthday celebration, this time with my dad. He threw her a little family birthday party with enough food to feed an army. I'm still stuffed and we ate hours ago! Anyway, now I'm officially exhausted...and unfortunately my weekend is over ;-) But was really fun! And now I have to go because Seymen is making me sort through my mail...and I can't complain ;-) about it because he just hacked into my new PINK RAZOR phone and got all my pictures off and put the Asian Jingle back on as my ringer...and the "Miaya-heee! Miaya-hooo! Miaya-Ha-Ha!" song on my phone as my voice mail ringer :-))) Yeayyy!! And I didn't have spend an outragious amount of money on the silly cable and software! Yahoooo :-)
