Darien Lake with Fuji
It was another eventful weekend! Friday night after work I convinced Denise to go with me to sign up for the cake decorating class :-)) WAHOOOO! I couldn't convince her to join me in the class, but hey oh well. After dinner we met Seymen and a bunch of his friends out at the toad. After a short while, we left them and headed to Mex where we met up with Denise's friend Randell. Well then Seymen and his friends joined us, and as it turns out, Randell knew our friend Jiggy, who invited a mutual friend of theirs, Liz, who knows Denise...and we then later found out that she knows Danielle and Shannon from work! WOW! What a small world...
Ohh yeah, and adding to the small world...I've known Jiggy for like 8 or 9 years. I met him on his first day of work at AGT when I was receptionist there! Anyway, I just found out on FRIDAY that JIGGY is from CHENNAI! I couldn't believe it! I want to go to Chennai to visit the friends that I have made there and LOW and BEHOLD!! Jiggy is from there! And his parents are there right now!! WOW!!!
Anyway, back to the night...then, I asked Seymen to call Yasimin and her sister Nehal (who is the cutest thing ever and tells the funniest stories) but he never did. A short while later...they SHOWED up @ MEX too! It was a great night :-) We ended up hanging out until 1:30AM!
Saturday, we woke up early and went on a bike ride again. Started at Genesee Valley Park and rode to Corn Hill Landing and back. We had to cut it a little short this week due to prior engagements but it was still really fun :-)
Today was the annual trip to Darien Lake with Fuji! Yasimin and Nehal somehow convinced me to go again this year. (I wasn't going to go because I am afraid of all the rides...) But it really turned out to be an awesome time! We did the water park most of the day, which was more my speed and I really enjoyed myself! Minako really wanted to come too, so I had her join me...and I lucked out because Thaun and Chau were also afraid of the rides :-) Tradition reigned on with the ring toss. This year Nehal won!!!

No More Adult Slip and Slide
This is a conversation I had this morning:
Nick: No more adult slip and slide.
Me: Umm yeah...I'm really sore.
Nick: I couldn't get up from the couch all day yesterday.
Me: I think I bruised my ribs.
*Slightly modified conversation because I closed it and I can't remember word for word...but close enough
OK...so I'm sure your wondering about that now ;-) Anyway, Friday night Seymen, Johnny, Jiggy, and I went to the red wings game. It was pretty fun, except the Red Wings sucked out and LOST completely. Like 5-0 or something. No maybe they got 1 run...but it was dissapointing. But we still have fun :-) Johnny even got a motercycle balloon from the clown! And I of coruse had salted peanuts, beer, hot dog, and french fries. We pigged out while singing "Take me out to the Ball Game" and yelling "CHARGEEEEEEEEEE" every 10 minutes.
After the dissapointing shut out, we hung around the park because they had a free RPO Concert! They played Seymen's favorite song (take me out to the ball game...where we all sang along) and the Indiana Jones Theme song. When he heard it playing, he almost dropped everything in his hands because he was so excited about the song ;-) After the concert, they had some really awesome fireworks. We moved up to the front seats and rested our legs against the red wings dug out and watched.

Saturday, the day started with me waking up and peering outside to see rain. I immediately jumped back into bed and pretended I didn't see it and had just dreampt the rain. No such luck. Nate called to give us the weather report. Then a few minutes later AnG called to see if we were still going. After than Jena called to give another weather report...In the end, we still dragged our lazy butts out of bed and headed down to the 10 Ugly men concert in the rain.
It actually turned out to be pretty fun. It was really slow this year in the AM due to the rain, but we happily took on our positions, shoved some hamgburgers/hot dogs in our mouths as we worked, and drank from the Free "Volunteers" Keg of beer. 3 beers later, and my shift over, a bunch of us went in search of the slip and slide. We found it...tried it, and had a GREATTTTTttt time playing on it. So great that Nick was starting things with a little girl, trying to make her race him ;-) Meanwhile Jena and I had a hard time getting started and kept sliding into each other ;-) (Maybe it's because we were holding hands?!? hehehe!!)

Anyway, after our fun with slip and slide, we walked around a bit more. I ran into an old friend from High school which was cool...Afterwards, we all reconviened at our apartment. We stopped at wegmans and bought some snacky foods. I made a batch of brachetta! And we just hung out, drank some beer and wine, did a few shots, and then hand fashion show, starring Johnny...wearing Seymen's clothes. Nick was the designer and picked out Johnny's clothes. Later we headed to Cibon for Martinis. We hung around there for 2 Bellini Martinis, and then went to Lola for Apple-Tinis (for me) and Espresso Martinis (for Nick).
Well you'd think that our night would be ending at this point...but no. It wasn't around 11:45/midnight, we headed to Ryan's for a Camp Fire party. We sat in his backyard, catching up with Katie and Colin who were in town for the weekend, drinking beers and reliving our stories from the day. We finally dragged ourselves home around 1:30AM!

Sunday was REALLY REALLY rough. Neither of us moved at all before noon. Seymen went to the gym, while I was supposed to shower and call people back and make plans. Instead, I plopped on the couch and watched a Lifetime Movie,(for the first time in like 7 months!)--Innocent Victims. The dude from Raising Helen, and Adian from Sex and City, was wrongly accused and convicted of murdering his neighbor and two of her kids. Anyway, I was hooked so I didn't get moving until 3PM. After fixing our friends computer, and then having dinner with my sister and mom, Seymen and I decided to go on a bike ride. (Yes, even though I was SOOOO sore I couldn't move!! I went...I thought it would help loosen my muscles) Well it was fun, we took a nice leiserly ride around the neighborhood. Seymen was trying to show me how to do Wheelies. I tried and tried, but I couldn't do it. Finally, when we got home, I was practicing more, and I ended cutting my hand :-((( boo hooo...
So that was our weekend! We ended it off watching My Fair Brady -- The Wedding Special and Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (LOVED IT! CRIED MY EYES OUT!!).

My Dad
My dad and step-mom recently retired from their jobs. They are completely different people. I don't think I've ever seen my dad so stress free in his life. He is always talking, telling a story, or telling me how something is done, or how it works (in very minute detail too...and what I say minute detail, I mean down to the gear level ;-). I've seen him two nights in a row. Today I stopped by after work to pick up a box that I left there. He was painting the deck, so I sat out there with him and we talked for about 2 hours. (He wouldn't let me help paint, at most I was allowed to get him a soda with ice and point out the spots that he missed.) Then Seymen came over and he was distracted talking to Seymen...so I snuck in and started to paint. :-) He actually let me do an entire wall section...and only stopped me once to give me a lesson in the proper paintbrush-holding methodology. You see it's all in the wrist. Save your arm. Hold it like a fork. hehehehe...
Anyway, it was a really nice "Father/Daughter" bonding moment. It's been a while since we've had one of those, and now I know many tips and tricks about painting, how to store my paint, how to ensure you have the right amount of paint on the brush, the difference between stain and paint, latex-based versus water-based paint...etc. :-)

Still Exhausted :-)
Hi! First to address the comments...Yeah, the pictures are really grainy. I put them up from my other computer that doesn't have photoshop (so ya'll could see some pics) but I haven't had the time/energy to do anything with my pics :-))) But I am going to fix them right after I finish this posting...and my pictures finish copying to my hard drive ;-)
And Pam! Where are you going on your trip!!??!? I HIGHLY recommend Paris :-) I LOVED it :-) Anyway, my mom was the major mastermind behind the plans, but I can give you any info on where we found all our "deals" ;-)
Anyway, it's been a little difficult getting used to the time change on the way back. I'm not sure why. I don't remember having this much trouble when I went to Ireland...but I also didn't take a day off of work then. I just pushed through it...Note to self...next time, just push through the exhaustion.
This weekend I added to my exhaustion (in a good and productive way!). Saturday, Seymen went to go move one of his friends, so I took the opportunity to stay home and clean clean clean! I ended up going to TOWN with the Magic Eraser and Clorox Bleach Pen. I even did the molding in the bathrooms and down the stairs and in the door entrance area. It looks greattt (in my opinion ;-) now :-) After I finished, I met Seymen and his friends at Cybon for a glass of wine and some snacks. Later we went to Black and Blue Steak and Crab to try it out. It was delicious! I highly recommend it!! Yummmmmmyyy!!
Today, we woke up early and went on a bike ride on the canal path from Genesse Valley Park to Pittsford. We stopped at Scholen Place to re-fill on agua and grab a snack before heading back. We timed it and on the way back it took us 45 mins...and we went slower, so I think we made it to Pittsford faster! My poor little bum is really sore :-)

Home Sweet Home
Well I'm back from Vacation! We had a GREATTT time! It was a crazy busy trip. We went ALL over Wales and walked all over Paris and London. It was a very successful vacation and we were all exhausted every night and by the time we came home. We came in last night, to Seymen waiting for us with Phillips European cakes as a coming home snack :-) I spent all day today sleeping and doing laundry. I went out to Fuji to print a few pics and see Maki and AnG...then dinner at my moms. But now I"m exhausted again and going to bed right now...more about the trip later! And pictures coming soon. Hopefully over the weekend!
