Sonicare
My birthday present arrived this weekend. Seymen bought me to LATEST and GREATEST model of the Sonicare Toothbrush. We even had to go to Walmart and check to make sure that the model I received in the mail, has NOT YET hit the WALMART Shelves. (That is how special I am ;-)) hehehe...
(this is the wrong picture. I believe I have the e9000 series)

Anyway, this tooth brush is AMAZING. I was a bit skeptical at first, as I've tried the Oral-B automatic tooth brushes, and although nice, I had reverted back to the traditional style toothbrush. WELLL...this toothbrush is amazing. To quote Seymen, when I let him try it out: "It is like a party inside your mouth!". I LOVE it. I can't wait to brush my teeth again tonight!

Memorial Day Weekend
This long weekend has been WONDERFUL so far :-) Friday night we had a BBQ at Kris and Dan's place. As always we had a great time. We ended up watching a movie (it was slightly depressing, but a good movie). Saturday morning I slept until 2:30PM! I know! How lazy. But I needed to catch up on my sleep. We went to eat and shopping for a new DVD player for my room. Afterwards, we went to Cathy's Graduation Party! (Congrats Cathy!!! She graduated from RIT this weekend!!) Seymen and I stayed until about 10PM. It was a fun time :-) Seymen felt a little bit like the minority though because it was ALL asian's ;-) Alex made some delicious BBQ food, up to par with his usual gourmet style.
We went to see the DiVinci code after that with some of Seymen's friends. It was a good movie. Despite the bad reviews, I enjoyed it. I only screamed out loud in the theater once :-) (And the worse part is, I read the book, so I knew what was going to happen anyway hehehe...)
Today we got up and took our time, did a little work and then headed to the Yacht club for the first sail of the season. Seymen did a great job. He ended up steering the whole time. It was an absolutely beautiful day, not too many waves, and the sun was shining.

After the sail, we went to my mom's for dinner. Seymen tried to re-create the gourmet food that Alex cooked last night...namely, asperagous wrapped in Bacon and then grilled. It was very delicious, and I HATE asperagous (so much that I won't even honor it to spell it correctly). Anyway, I spent the evening researching Villas in Tuscany and airfare for the trip to Italy that my mom and I are planning for July. I am realllly tired now. It is hard work being a travel agent. Seymen caught some nice shots of me yawning. I am too tired to delete them right now though...so you can see ugly, tired beth. (Click here to see pictures)

Birthday Weekend!!
Hi!! WOW!! What a crazy weekend! Chrissy and I made it back to Rochester in one piece on Saturday night! We had a really nice time in Ohio. As you can see, we made it there and had some fun on Thursday night just catching up. Friday we spent most of the day just vegging at Daniel and Gary's apartment. We watched TV, went to lunch, and I even took a mini-nap right before my Uncle's Graduation party. We went to the family/friends get together at my aunt and uncles house for a few hours that evening. At the instistance of my grandparents, Chrissy, Daniel, Gary and I took off around 10PM and headed to downtown Columbus for a night of drinking on the town.
We first started at the Burgandy room where we polished of two bottles of really nice red spanish wine (in honor of Tatiana, Gary's wife, who is in Spain right now.)
The Cousins:

Afterwards, we went down the road a bit to another bar where we had the most AMAZING nachos and spinich and artichoke dip...oh yeah, and some mixed drinks...I ended the night with an apple-tini. Surprisingly, I could still walk (barely)...we headed back to their place around 2AM. The next morning was PURE torture trying to wake up early for the graduation. We of course were 30 minutes late leaving Columbus for the 2 hour drive to Marietta (in southern ohio). After the ceremony, Chrissy and I drove back, following my dad and georgia in another car. The ride was LONG. We spent most of Saturday driving. Chrissy and I tried to make it the best it could possibly be. We talked...we sang...we complained...we had dance party to Madonna somewhere between pittsburg and Erie.
At about Fredonia, we were both completely exhausted and irratated. Shortly thereafter, we realized that we were annoyed with the music. We ended up turning it off after Fredonia, and things went much smoother. We pulled into my apartment in Henrietta at midnight. Seymen wasn't home yet, but he left my b-day present on the bed (see pictures). He also left his arts and craft project on the kitchen counter, and evidance of his clean up efforts on the dish soap :-) (See the pictures...notice the pink finger prints on the soap) hehehe. Here's the pictures (Ohh, and they start from my apartment, and having my grandparents and dad ad Georgia over for dinner before the Ohio trip)
Sunday, on my day of rest!! Seymen planned a semi-surprise birthday party at our apartment for me! It was really nice! Unfortunately, he had to tell me earlier in the day because I was making plans to work all day...but instead, I decided to forget about working on the weekend for once, and help him cook for my party :-) We cooked and cleaned and had TONS of friends over...Our poor little apartmet could have popped with all the people, food, and furniture we have :-)
The Asians:

It was really fun though, and I was able to ignore my friends long enough to watch the Season Finale of Desperate Housewives! (SOOOOOOOOO goooooooood! Crazy, but GOOOOOOOOOOOOD). Here's pictures from the night of festivities.

Arrived in Columbus
So, Chrissy and I made it to Columbus. We actually left Rochester at 3 as planned. I had joked earlier with Chrissy that I was going to force her to listen to Country music the ENITREEEEEEE drive since it was my birthday ;-) and she actually took me seriously! She and my mom bought me three new country CDs for the drive! (Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, and Tim McGraw)
We listened to each CD at least twice, and somewhere in no-man's land Ohio (where there were some REALLLY REALLY strange people) we stopped and had my birthday dinner. Yup, we had an elegant meal at McDonald's where my sister sat across from me with this weird eye twitching problem. It totally freaked me out. I couldn't look at her and eat my food :-) hehehehehe. Her one contact was ripped, so she took it out and left the other one in...and then the eye with no contact just started twitching and wouldn't open all the way. It was really gross. LOL. Right outside Columbus, on I-270 or something we had CD sing along. We blasted our favorite driving songs (Alison Krause-When you say nothing at all, and the Bangles-Eternal Flame) and sang at the top of our lungs.
Anyway, we made it to our cousin's place by 9, in 3 hours on the dot. We didn't do much...Just sat around in the living room talking, catching up, and reminiscing about the last couple times that we saw each other. (i.e. the family cruise to the Bahamas, when I won big in the Casino, and my cousins were no where to be found while I celebrated with a bunch of strangers...and where we bar hopped on the ship so often that the bar tenders had our drinks waiting for us...and learned that my cousin Daniel has memory of steel and even remembers their names!!)
So as a birthday gift, one of my friends from work gave me a bottle of homemmade wine. We broke it out last night, and I pretty much passed out from exhaustion and too much alcohol.
Anyway, today Daniel had to get up at 5AM and write an article by 7:30, and then go to work for half a day. Chrissy and Gary are still sleeping :-(( Booooooooo! I'm bored...so I got on my e-mail and did a little work, but got yelled at by my co-workers to stay on vacation ;-). So now I'm here...writing in my blog, hoping that the typing on my keyboard will wake up Gary so we can go get some food. I'm so hungry. :-) Unfortunately, no such luck on Operation wake up Gary. He's sleeping on the couch with the lights on and the TV on...I think I will have to drop something right hear his ear.
Oh and one other thing...HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY MOM!!!!

Weekend of Celebration!
We had a weekend of celebrating this weekend! Friday night was Dan's 25th birthday! Happy Birthday Dan!!! We went to dinner at Basil and then came back to our apartment to hang out, have a few drinks and play Mario Party. Unfortunately, there weren't enough controllers for everyone, so the girls (Liz, Kris, and I) cut veggies for my sister's graduation party and then watched them...shortly thereafter, we all fell asleep. Poor Liz had the misfortune of falling asleep on the couch, while Kris and I fell asleep on Seymen's bed, watching a movie. (Click here for more pictures)

The next morning, Seymen and I woke up bright and early and drove to Buffalo, to pick up my Uncle as a surprise present to my sister. The graduation was lovely. Chrissy finally has her master's degree (and won't let anyone in the family forget either ;-)))). She graduated with honors, in the national honors society, as well as received two awards! CONGRATS CHRISSY!!! (Click here for Pictures!)
Right after the ceremony, Seymen and I rushed over to her apartment and set up the food and drinks. We were the "catering" service :-) It was really a nice get together, with my ENTIRE family...and when I saw entire family, I mean both my mom's side and my dad's side. Everything went as well as hoped, and there was even a break in the rain for some lovely graduation pictures...starring...My sister with the Master's Degree ;-)

Today, for Mother's day...we spent the entire day at my mom's. Chrissy had a small graduation party at my mom's which included an all day BBQ. We also celebrated Mother's day, and my mom did a little cake ceremony for my birthday since Chrissy (My sister with a master's degree...and I have to keep saying that until Midnight tonight when the celebration is offically allowed to switch over to me...for my birthday "rest of the month") and I will be in Ohio on mine and my mom's b-day.

We all had a nice time, relaxed, drank some beers and champange, and ATE...ALLL DAY LONGGGGG. I think I ate a pound of cheese dip. I will definitly be including the gym at 7AM Monday morning after this glutton fest of food. As an added bonus, so as to not leave the Peak-a-nator out...I have included a picture of her nose too...seeing, she was the like of the party...and I just LOVE her's and Bayley's noses...I got some good shots.

To end off the night...I was able to watch Desperate Housewives with my Grandma. Bill tried to watch, but he only made it through the first commercial break, before he threw up his hands in desperation and walked away. Grandma and I are PSYCHED because next week is a 2 hour episode :-)

Desperate Housewives
So my grandparents are in town for my sister's graduation next weekend. Last night I stopped at home to eat dinner really quick and see them. In talking with my grandma, we both found out that we LOVEEEE Desperate Housewives :-) My grandma was sooo cute :-) She was laughing about how Eddie burned down Susan's house :-) It is so funny to know that Grandma likes the same TV show. We are going to watch it together on Sunday :-)

Sneak Peak of the Grill Disposal
This was Seymen's idea...ever the engineer. Instead of dragging the grill through the apartment, getting everything dirty...we created the "Lower it Down" method...Thank goodness for the moving ratchet set...

New Grill
So Friday it was soooo nice outside, I felt like we should have a barbaque. I called Seymen really early in the morning, at like 11AM and told him we should have one. Then I called Kris and left her a message. When she got out of work she called and agreed to come over for grilling and hanging out.
So, everything went pretty smoothly. I made it home from work at a reasonable hour. I ran to wegmans, bought some food, and headed home where I cooked and cleaned just in time before Kris, Dan, and Anaka showed up. When Seymen came home, we were all ready to grill it up. Wellllll....little did we know...we had a birds nest that had been built in the grill!! I had been complaining to Seymen since I moved back in, that he had to throw the fake plastic snakes that he and Ryan had kept in the grill, out because they scared the crap out of me and I refused to go out on the deck. I never believed them that the snakes actually did keep the birds away from the grill!
Well, Seymen finally did my bidding and threw the snakes away. Since then the birds made themselves at home in our grill! So anyway, back to the story. Seymen cleaned out the bird's nest, and afterwards we lit the grill to burn out any remaining twigs. Shortly after, the hose between the grill and the propane tank caught on fire...so Seymen decided it was time to kill the grill. He and Dan went out to Walmart and bought a new grill (meanwhile, this was at like 7:30pm, we hadn't eaten yet, and I hadn't eaten breakfast or lunch!!). Soooo when they came back, Seymen took apart the old grill and Dan put the new grill together! Unfortunately, it turned out everything was taking too long, so we decided to order pizza instead.
But it was an adventure of the grills...and we are now proud owners of a charcol grill (instead of gas) that has a little turn-ey thing to make the charcol move up and down...Yes, that was the selling point for Seymen, why he splurged for the "Super Model" of the Walmart Charcol grill ;-) I'm just happy that there's no holes that any birds can get into so there's no need for the fake snakes! :-)
Anyway, here's pictures from the big adventure: CLICK HERE TO SEE PICS

Reality Sets In
So, reality set in this weekend for Seymen and I. Chrissy came over with Jake on Friday night to hang out and sleepover. We all just realized that she's going to be moving into the apartment in about two weeks!! There was so much to do to prepare!
So, this weekend, Seymen and I re-arranged the living room (first time in 3 years!!), moved the kitchen table into the living room, and created an office area where the kitchen table used to be. Now our bedrooms will be true bedrooms, and there's pleanty of space for Chrissy's dresser and stuff in my room. I wanted to go to town and completely re-arrange Seymen's bedroom and hookup his new headboard that he got from a guy at work...but it's one step at a time for us. I guess it was a pretty big shock to move the kitchen table into the living room...Maybe next weekend.
The good news is!! we found matching desks/tables (ON WHEELS!) for our new office area. It took us 30 minutes or arranging and rearranging the desks to figure out the best location for our desks. We settled on the two desk in the middle, and we sit facing each other. Our flat screen monitors, each at opposite ends of the tables, so it doesn't feel as much like we're just sitting there staring at each other work ;-) hehehe.
Anyway, I'm really excited about the new work area. We both agree that we should have done this a while ago when I moved back in the apartment. Ohh well, better late than never :-) Tonight we had the first night of working together in the same room...We were both testing each other...well...mainly, Seymen was testing me by turning up the volume on the TV to see if I complained. I decided to ignore the loud racket and put headphones on and work to my country music. Once I did that, I was COMPLETELY productive and reviewed an entire LESSON!! in 2 HOURs!!! WOW!!
So, now I'm just wasting precious sleep time. I have to go to bed. Nighty night! Tomorrow is my one and only sleep-in day...(I've been going to the gym Wed-Friday @ 7AM!!! and Tuesdays are 8AM conference calls with Chennai.)
