Pink Dress
OK, well since I got some great encouragement from Allee :-)) I will continue my post about my AWESOME pink shoes :-) My friend Jess told me today they remind her of belly dancers! OK anyway, enough with the shoes Beth ;-)...I've found the perfect dress...Only problem is...they don't make it in my size and it's like $100 (way to expensive for my taste for a pretty simple dress I think)...So, I've decided the only way I can match the shoes to a dress is to make one...so this weekend hopefully, my mom and I are going to go out hunting for patterns to match and fun material!!! Wahooo. Wanna see the dress?!?! ohhhh I bet you do! :-) Oh yeah, and I just found out that they have patterns online...so I will be searching those at some point when I have some free time. (You think...well Beth must have some free time right now since she's posting...but in reality, it's Tuesday I have submitted 34 hours work this week so far...but anyway, no more complaining)...back to the PINK DRESS!!! WHAT DO YOU THINK!?!??!

New Shoes!!!
I just bought a new pair of shoes!!!! Today my manager gave me a $25 gift certificate to Amazon.com for working so hard. So immediately I went online and started searching the SHOE section. I found the CUTESTTTT shoes for all the weddings that we have this year :-)) I can't wait for warm weather where I can dress up!!! Ohh shipping gods...please send my new shoes FASTTTTT...Take a look:

Crazy Weekend
I can't believe it's sunday already. It was a crazy fast weekend, where I did alot but didn't really get much accomplished over all. Friday night, I stayed late at work and then met up with Jena, Trina, and a bunch of GDs/MPs from work for happy hour at Zebbs. About 5 drinks later I had forgotten about my crappy work week and was loving life :-) Seymen came to pick me up and we had a late dinner at Shiki. We arrived at around 9:45 and just made last call for dinner. Maki and I recorded the answering machine message there too! I did the english portion and Maki did the Japanese. Seymen said that I did really well for having 5 drinks in me ;-)
Saturday morning I went to work with Seymen and spent all day trying to write this business simulation. We finally broke around 7PM. My mind was fried. All my creative juices were gone and I had only come up with 12 different nodes. I had even started over and deleted a bunch of nodes too...Grrrrr...Chad had just arrived back from his spontaneous vacation in Saratoga, and he and Sara agreed to meet Seymen and I at Shiki. We passed Thaun and Chau as they were leaving :-) It was great to finally meet Sara! She's so sweet. She and Chad are so cute together. We had a lovely dinner just talking and getting to know Sara :-)
Today Seymen woke up and left for work at 8:45am. I woke up when he left and continued working on the biz sim. Last night after dinner we came back and I worked for another hour but ended up deleting so many more nodes that I wanted to kill myself. But this morning the creative juices were flowing and I banged out more than half of the sim. At 12:30 I went to teach english and I have been working on my sim ever since. Seymen and I just finished eating dinner. He bought a package of Omaha Steaks/Burgers etc. on the Internet, so we tried out the burgers tonight...Now I need to finish the sim, and review 4 different topics for 4 different courses, all before work tomorrow morning.
So, as you can see...I think it was a productive weekend, where I did a whole lot of work...but didn't get that much accomplished for 7:50PM on a Sunday night. My only saving grace is that Desperate Housewives isn't on TV tonight so I won't have to break for that.
Anyway...back to the grind as they say...I wish I could get a spurt of creativity and just finish this sim up...I wish writing a sim were as easy as posting in my blog. I'd have written all 4 this weekend if that were the case!!!

Seymen's Package!
Seymen got a package today from his parents. I wasn't allowed to open it for him, so I compromised by cutting the tape but not opening the top while Seymen was "taking care of business". While waiting...Patooty got her hands on the package and tried to peek into the box while we waited ;-) As it turned out, his parents sent me a new pair of black shoes, apple tea, and lemon/orange tea :-) They are so nice to me :-))

Another Vacation Needed??
I feel like I need another day of vacation! I'm such a lazy bum!! So...as you can tell we went out to the movies on Friday night. On Saturday morning, Trina and Jena came over for breakfast and the beginning of our LOST - SEASON 1 MARATHON WEEKEND. We didn't get the DVDs started until almost 12 noon because it took so long for us to cook and eat breakfast. Trina arrived at 10, so a good 2 hours to make heart shaped-blueberry, strawberry and raspberry pancakes! We finally started it up at noon and watched non-stop until 6:30PM. AnG stopped by around 1pm, just to stay for an hour...she had some friends from out of town at her place for the weekend, but she wanted to stop by and say hi. Well...we got her hooked, so much so that she ended up staying until 6:30!!! hehehehe!!
Saturday night, Seymen and I didn't want to leave the apartment because it was soo cold. So we watched Law and Order and just hung out doing nothing special, but enjoying our time together (because he had to work all weekend). Sunday, the girls came over again for another day of LOST. We started at 10:30AM and watched until 7:00PM. Seymen got Jena and I to finally get up and go out and get some real food. He was leaving for work right after dinner, so we ate and went back to the apartment and watched LOST until 2:30AM!!!! OMG!!! I was sooooooooo scared by the end. The last few episodes were pretty freaky, especially for watching at 2:00AM! And then the paper boy threw the newspaper at the door around 2:00AM so I got really scared. Seymen was still at work when Jena left, so I slept with ALLL the lights on in the apartment...and when I say ALL, I mean every possible light ;-) and a warm fuzzy DVD playing on the TV while I slept (Carolina -with Julia Stiles and Shirley McLain --Really cute!). Anyway, I was finally able to sleep soundly at 5AM when Seymen came home and turned off all the lights and the TV for me :-)
Monday was nice and relaxing. Seymen went to work and I worked from my bed for the afternoon. We met up at Shiki for dinner with some friends around 6:30. Afterwards, Seymen and I headed to Cybon for coffee and desserts with Maki and Richard. It was a nice night and we had some fun conversation with Maki and Richard :-)
So, anyway...it was a pretty eventful weekend of doing a lot of laying around...but I'm exhausted now...All I can think about is going on a vacation. I really want to go on a vacation :-)) Seymen mentioned going to Arizona soon...I'm all for it man. I need a WEEK OFF! ;-) Well a day or two would be acceptable I guess ;-)

The Pink Panther
After a surprisingly busy and packed Friday night, I'm finally ready to go to bed. I don't know how I made it so late...but I somehow did. I went to the LVA tutor group dinner at Ann's house tonight. It was really nice as always. We had a delicious dinner. Unfortunately, I was supposed to bring the appetizer but I was at work too late and didn't have time to pick anything up...so I arrived empty handed and late. It didn't matter too much though. Teriann and Ann weren't mad at me :-)
After the dinner I was planning to get cozy and wait for Seymen to come back from work so we could go to wegmans. (That was at 10pm) We talked at 10:05 and he somehow convinced me to stay up and go see a movie with him, Johnny, Mike, Chau, and Thaun at 11:30PM. We saw the Pink Panther. GGREEEEEEEEEATTTTTTT movie! I LOVED it! It was perfect for a sleepy Bethy. We were the only one's in the theater and we were all just laughing out loud the whole time. Well worth the $6 tickets! You should DEFINITELY SEE it!

Weekend with Peakers
Well we had a lovely weekend with Peakers...She arrived shortly after 7PM, just in time for the Pizza. Jena, AnG, and Maki all came over to play with her and watch TV. I started getting sick on Friday during the day, so after a short nap, I was revived for the night of fun with Peakers. Seymen worked all night Thursday, and went to bed around 2PM on Friday. We woke him up (by Peake jumping on his bed and chewing on his ear) around 8 and he too joined in on the "Play with Peake Night" :-)
Anyway, it was a pretty quiet weekend. Peake and I laid around in bed and on the couch most of Saturday (because I was sick with a cold, and Peake is just lazy ;-). We did take 2 walks on Saturday with Seymen which was really nice. Peake loved it...but I think I got even more sick from being outside in the cold. Sunday, we laid around again and at 2, Seymen and I went out to look at a house. Peakers stayed at the apartment eating a raw hide. When I came back half an hour later, we spent the rest of the evening cooking. We had friends over for dinner and baked cookies and made dinner. Mom came to pick up Peakers around 5PM.
When our friends left...our apartment was so quiet and empty. We both missed Peakers so much. She's soooooo good! and NEVER barks unless she saw someone outside, and pees really quickly. Espeically if you say: "Hurry up and go pee, Peake!" and she sqauts and pees! It's amazing!! :-) I miss the little pooper-scooper :-( Here's some pictures of Peakers weekend at our apartment!

True Love
Last night Seymen was supposed to work overnight...so I went shopping with Jess and we hung out for a while. When she left to go home, I was suprised to find out that Seymen was going to stop by the apartment for a shower before heading back to work for his midnight push. Well...I was just soooooooooooo excited!!! Because I was feeling really lonely, and I didn't want him to be gone all night long...so anyway, he came home and took a shower while I laid in bed watching Monster-in-Law, waiting for his shower to be over to have our evening chat. Unfortunately, I fell fastttt asleep and didn't wake up until 6:30AM this morning :-((( So I headed off to work and wrote to Seymen to say good morning...
From our chat I found out that he actually layed on my bed with me for about an hour last night while I slept! (Maybe he watched the end of Monster-In-Law?!?!? ;-) Awwwww how sweet is that? I was sooooooooo happy...because I was feeling so sad and guilty that I fell asleep and didn't get to talk to him, and he had to stay up all night working...He's so good to me :-)

Junk Mail
I hate junk mail!!! It makes me so happy and excited when I check my e-mail and see that I have 4 new messages. I'm like...WOW!! Either I have 4 movies from netflix or I have ALOT of good messages from my friends/family! And then I click the little link and go in and find titles like: "Re: a notice 78 26" or "We cure any desease!"...It makes me so sad. :-( I guess it's time to change my e-mail address again :-(
So I had to go to the dentist today :-((( Not only was it bad because it's the dentist...but it was double bad because it was during the lunch hour, so I missed out on the weekly group luncheon at Shiki. On top of that, I had so many meetings today that once I got back from the dentist, I didn't have time to get any food, so I haven't eaten all day! :-( So I have sore gums from the cleaning, and an empty stomache, ohhh yeah...and an empty gas tank :-( My cup is looking half empty today.
But the good news is...Seymen and Maki always have my back :-) They graciously offered to go to Shiki for dinner with me since I missed out on the group lunch. :-) They are so good to me!!! We are so tight! :-) Anyway, I'm seriously the last person here at work. Everyone is offline...and I really need to review this business simulation for someone, but instead I felt it was necessary to complain to everyone...I guess this is why I usually don't post much during the weekdays lately...I'm too pessamistic ;-)

Casino Weekend!
Pheww! The weekend flew by yet again. I already posted about Friday night, so on to Saturday. For some reason I was really tired Friday night and went to bed REALLY early. Seymen was tired to and he went to sleep not much later than me. We both woke up early (for us ;-) in the morning. Seymen headed off to work while I spent the day at my mom's house. I sat around with my sister, then took the dogs for a walk with her and my mom. We took a family drive in my new car, so Bill and Mom could try driving it, and they bought me and CHrissy ice cream :-) Yummmmyyy. Afterwards, we watched some TV and then I headed home to meet Seymen for dinner. We went to Shiki with Chau and Thaun, and made a last minute decision to go to Niagra Falls to the Casino for the night! I thought I was going to be lucky and win lots of money (I should have known better ;-))
Anyway, Seymen and Thaun went off to the tables while Chau and I sat at the machines. I lost my $60 limit in about 2 hours...Chau was having some bad luck with the machines. Her first machine took her money, but it got jammed so the casino guy had to come over and fix it for her. Shortly after, we decided to move to a different row. We sat down and Chau's money got stuck again...the same Casino guy came over and fixed it again. She moved over to the machine next to me when she was down to a dollar! She told me: "Beth, I'm running out of my money!" She took one last whirl at it, and suddenly won 400 quarters!!! OMG!!! We were both so excited and laughing and stuff! She kept playing that machine again and then moved to the other side of me where she won another large bunch of coins!!! It was great :-) By the time Seymen and Thaun met up with us, having lost much of their money...Chau had made all three of our lost amounts back in her winnings ;-)
We decided to continue playing for the car so we picked a machine and all four of us took turns. Unfortunately, we didn't win the car :-( but we did win some more money ;-) so it worked out well :-) Once we were back in the black we decided to call it a night and head home.
Sunday, was a lazier day. We slept in to our usual times. I went to teach English at "Chuck-E-Cheese". I took my student and her son there for our class. She has been making such good progress that it was a well deserved outing :-) After that I stopped by my mom's to say hi and "pick up" Seymen. We headed home where I spent the rest of the evening watching Non-Superbowl TV :-)) Seymen went to a friends for the game, but I was feeling under the weather so I stayed home with some valentine's day candy that Seymen got me. Well, I should have known it would be bad luck to feel bad for myself and stuff my face with candy heart jaw breakers, because I cracked a tooth :-( Now I have to go to the dentist tomorrow :-((( Serves me right for being a glutton for candy ;-)
Today was a busy day. Seems like my days are just getting busier and busier at work. Sooo many meetings. But the good news is that I had my Performance Apprasial today, and received great scores...and I was surprised to learn that I got a little raise! My first official raise (while in the same position, without changing positions) in three years at LMNK! Wahoooo :-)
On top of that good news, I talked to my mom and she had some good news of her own! I of course won't post it online but it was surprising and not expected news :-) We were just talking about the situation when we were walking on Saturday and she was convincing herself the good news wouldn't occur...but it did today!! So that is pretty exciting :-) (Don't you wish you knew what I was talking about ;-) JK JK. OK, I'll stop being mean...
Anyway, usual routine for the week. Working late, Hosting the weekly LOST party Wednesday night, Girls night/shopping (and maybe Sleep over!!) with Jess (Seymen's working all night :-(((...and then...my puppy PEAKERS!!! comes for the weekend!!! Can't wait!!! :-) Yeayyyyy!!!

Congratulations AnG!
AnG adopted the cutest tabby cat last night! SHe named him Shakes :-) He's 5 months old, and so cute. I even let him ride in my new car :-) We went to BJs and Petsmart to get his supplies. AnG and Jena are gonna have "cat playmate time" where Rocky and Shakes will play together :-)
When we were at Lollypop farm, I saw these little kids with the cutest golden retriever. His name was Bo, and he was 6 weeks old. He was soooo cute!!! and a little fat, and had the softest puppy hair. I want a pupppyyyyyyyyy...I want a little golden retriver!!! Awwwwwwwwwwww!!! Maybe someday...for now Peake and Bayley will have to do. Peakers is coming over next weekend for a full weekend sleepover. I can't wait. Bayley is going to Buffalo to stay with Chrissy :-( for that weekend.
