PUMPED UP!!
OK, I'm pumped up now. It took me from last Thursday until Monday night to get over my bad attitude about change and see my new position at work as an excellent opportunity with room to make me grow, and become more valuable in the Instructional Design field. They have announced a new job role at work that I was one of the selected employees to take over. I am now called an "Engagement Manager". Under this role, I will continue to do all the content management duties, but I will also take on project management duties, lead art and media production duties, and have a certain amount of responsiblity for selling (or "cultivating" our customers for more products) and ensure a profit for my team. This announcement of change really threw me for a loop. In addition, I was also taken off the Cisco team and put into the Custom team. I was pretty upset about it at first, but after MUCH MUCH MUCH discussion with my friends, Seymen, and my parents, I have come to the conclusion that this is really a good change, and a promotion. So I am taking on a new...BETTER attitude as of last night. And since this is a newly created position, I will be able to mold it to me, instead of me molding to it. (And just think how bad I would have felt if they DIDN'T pick me! So this is GOOD!!) <--Yeah still trying to convince myself fully...but I'm pretty much there.

Yay! Congrats! That is awsome. This means that they really do see your talents and value what you have to offer. They picked you for this role and that says a lot in a day and age when they reorg the company and they premote you right out of the company. Yes, this may not be exactly what you want because I feel that most of all it takes you outside your comfort zone. But being outside your comfort zone is what makes people great and push them to do things they never would have thought they could do. Again, congrats!
