Labor Day Weekend

I'm sad :-((( Because Labor Day Weekend is almost over with :*-( It was a really nice LONGGGGGGGG weekend! I enjoyed myself :-) Even though I was in pain! ;-) Friday night, Seymen, Mom, Bill and I went out to the Ukrainian Restaurant in Irondequoit. It was kind of loud because they had a big birthday party going on, and live music...but the food was delicious and it was really fun watching the drunken birthday people dancing on the dance floor to Hava-Nagela-Hava (Spelling?) Anyway...Saturday was a busy busy day. I woke up early (10:30) and drove out to mom's for pancake breakfast...compliments of Bill. Afterwards, I carried boxes from the basement to the front porch to help Seymen (ahead of time). I then went and taught Esra some English, and ran to RIT afterwards to pickup my pictures. At 5PM we went and picked up the Uhaul, and then Seymen and I did the furniture shuffle :-) Dropping a kitchen table at my dads, and love seat at my mom's...and then filled the Uhaul to the BRIM and moved my stuff back to the apartment. WAHOOOOOO!!! We did it just the two of us, except the couch. We had to have Nate come over and he and Seymen got it up the stairs. The move was pretty painless, and pretty quick. We were done moving stuff by 10PM, and we had stopped for dinner @ mom's in betweeen.

Sunday, we were doing a little bit more moving (I had to get my TV...MOST important ya know?) and we ended up getting sidetracked by mom and Bill and ended up taking a lovely sail on the lake. Unfortunately, there wasn't that much wind, but we would hit small pockets once in a while to keep us happy :-) On the way back in, Bill decided that I should try docking the boat. After signing an oath in blood - promising NOT to yell and scream at me during this lesson - I agreed...and didn't do darn bad at all!!! I didn't hit the dock, and although I came into the slip a bit fast because I couldn't find the reverse gear fast enough, Bill, Mom, and Seymen said that I did good! (The guy on the boat next to us, did have to catch the bow and push a little but at the last minute...or should I say second, I found reverse and took some of the pressure off.) Anyway, not a DENT or SCRATCH on Evankeel! And not even a decible of a raised voice from Bill. It was all together, most successful. Afterwards, we treated ourselves to a yummmmmy dinner at Seymen's fav. restuarant Mr. Dominics on the Lake.

Today, I woke up a little late, but still before noon, and cleaned and rearranged. Later, Seymen and I went power shopping to get some last minute supplies to complete the moving in process. I ended up buying a new desk, but then ended up having to return it because the legs weren't even. I've decided to make my own homemade desk from an old door of my mom's and square boxes that I can stick cute baskets in as drawers and cover with material that will match my new future curtains (Which is next weekend's project).

After the shopping trip we had a nice labor day BBQ. Check out the pics...You should know where by now ;-) Anyway...all in all it was a great weekend. I'm definitely pooped. But my room looks really cute. I have three out the 4 walls decorated, and the only thing I'm missing is a desk...but for now, the plastic egg crate will have to do.

Anyway, I just remembered that I have to do something for work. Gotta Go!
