Hurricane Rita
I only just started paying attention to the new about Hurricane Rita. (Can you see what a sheltered life us North-Eastern's live??) Anyway, I started paying attention to what was going on with it yesterday. I was watching the news seeing clips of the highways from Houston to Dallas, just jam packed with cars. This was before the opened the inbound lanes for outbound traffic. It looked so crazy! Anyway, this morning I decided to venture to the Austin Statesmen, to see how the hurrcaine has been affect Austin. I started reading this article on people buying food and supplies for the hurriane...the gas shortages.
I also read this article about this one girl who went to college in Lousiana, and she transferred to A&M in College Station. Now they are evacuating there for this hurricane. It's crazy! Anyway, I don't know what is going on with me, but it just made me so sad, and I started crying! Then I sent a mass e-mail to all my peeps in Austin.
Anyway, onto a less depressing topic...Today is my ONE MONTH ANNIVERSARY! I've been offically free of my bad habits for 1 month!!! :-))) Anyway, today is day 2 of being crutch free for quitting my bad habits. Poor Seymen...watch out for psycho Beth this weekend ;-)
So there's another reason why today is a big day. Tonight we're going to look at the first townhouse again. I think Seymen has finally decided that Menlo Place is where he wants to buy!!! We've looked at a few other places, but everytime we keep coming back to Menlo Place. So!!!! We'll see! Hopefully it'll work out. It's the perfect place!!! I'm very excited that we've got Seymen to look @ townhouses. I'm not sure I could live sanely for the rest of my life without multiple floors. ;-)
