Baby Mia!
Hi!!!!!!!!! I have some great news to share!!!!!!!!! I just spoke with Jennifer and Li-Wei, and they had Baby Mia on September 14th!!! She's a beautiful, healthy girl!!!! Mia --According to Li-Wei, means Taiwanese Women in America. (I'm pretty sure that's what he said...hopefully...I was on my cell with my hands free set, driving in the rain on the highway...so there is a chance I might have gotten that wrong...) Anyway, I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited for them. They both sounded soooooooooooo happy and proud and really just great!!! I'm sooooo excited to meet her!!!
Thus, it is perfect timing that I found out about Mia's birth, BECAUSEEEE, my mom and I just started plannning our "Return to Austin" trip for a Social Worker's Convention! Actually, it's kind of odd these past two weeks have gotten me suddenly back in touch with my Austin friends. I seemed to have lost a little bit of touch, as things are crazy here. But suddenly, last week I got a call from Liz :-), Sunday I received a call from Tracy! (Come to find out she was OUT OF THE COUNTRY in TURKEY for 6 weeks!!! No wonder she wasn't answering my e-mails hehehee;-))AND tonight I talked to both JENNIFER/LI-WEI and JANET!!!! Plus I received e-mails from Steph, Liz, Janet and Sherry re: hurricane rita. Anyway, very strange. And suddenly my mom started talking about the Austin trip and starting trying to plan it these past two days...
So ANYWAY, my point being: I'm going back for a visit to Austin Friday November 4th - 6th. And I'm going to see little MIA!!!!! for SUREEE!!! And anyone else that has time that weekend. (And I know I'm jumping the gun by blogging about this and not sending an informational e-mail to my peeps yet...so just take this as a forewarning that I am going to be writing soon :-))) And plannin' it up!!! :-))) Oh yeah, and to any fellow GB buddies that still read this: There's a new Country Song by Gretchen Wilson called: "I'm all JACKED up". It makes me think of all of you (well and of course Vicky...the queen of ALL JACKED UP" and our special dude ranch retreat.) Anyway, just wanted to share that little but of country news with ya ;-)
Anyway, I think my mom and I have a plan for mooching housing/hoteling from friends and co-travellers ;-) (We gave each other assignments of what to work on for beds for us both ;-) hehehe) and I've been given the assignment of getting the rental car for mom and I to share. This is VERYYYYYYYYY exciting for me because this is my FIRST OVER 25 RENTAL CAR!!! (OK, not really that big of a deal because I have rented a car before, and I was in Texas...but in Dallas, Not Austin...so it's still kind of new right?!?! :-) Anyway...hopefully it'll be CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP. I can't wait :-)))
