Fat Free Mayo
I decided to start a diet yesterday...so I went to Wegmans to "Health-a-size" my favorite homemade cesar salad dressing. I substituted the only unhealthy ingrediant in my dressing recipe (Mayo) with FAT FREE MAYO. The jar looks so PRETTY. I was a tad bit skeptical, but I figured, there's freshly pressed garlic in the dressing. Any "FAT FREE" taste will be overpowered by the garlic.
So I get home...and I start cookin' it up. Lemon juice, minced garlic cloves, tiny splash of white whorchester sauce, and FAT FREE MAYO (added last). OK, so I start stirring...hoping that this concotion will eventually stop looking like tapioca pudding...that the CHUNKS will dissapear and the look of it changes from plaster of paris (You remember in Art class, in like 4th or 5th grade, you use the yucky glue stuff with newspaper that feels like and looks like barf? Yea, that stuff is what my dressing looked like) to my normal salad dressing. Well I figured...No, it's fine. I'll just put it on and give it a go. Well the first bite wasn't so bad, and as long as I just kep SHOVING pieces of lettuce in my mouth and didn't think about the aftertaste, I was fine...but once I had the AFTERTASTE...I was done...So...the HEALTH-A-SIZED salad thing is OUTTTT!!! Tastes like BUTT! BE WARNED! DON'T USE FAT FREE MAYO! IT'S NOT WORTH IT. STICK WITH THE LIGHT. 2GRAMS OF FAT CAN'T HURT THAAAAAAAT MUCH!!!

OMG! I was just thinking when I was coming back from lunch that I should maybe consider the FF Mayo thingie again. Thank you for reminding me about the chunks (I feel that they might lead to snarts or sharts). I'm with you I loooooovveee the light and the 2g of fat are more than worth it. If you are looking to lighten up something else, I've found that if you get the Boca "All American" burgers they are great! They are filling, lower in fat and calories, and have a great "painted on grill marks taste" (no really they taste good).
