Ramadan in Bursa
So today is the first day of the ramadan holiday. All week everyone has been preparing for the sacrificing of the lamb, and the big holiday feast. The Downtown (or City Center as Seymen's dad refers to is) is crowded with lots of people. Supposedly, during this holiday, little children (or even big children...like the size and age of Seymen) can expect to receive little gifts. If you kiss the hand of an elder. Seymen's mom was telling me, that when she was younger every year on ramadan, she would get a new silk scarf from her grandmother...Seymen I think is supposedly receiving money. And Seymen's dad told us that he is planning to give money to his two cousins.
Anyway, we were supposed to meet all of them for lunch today, but they decided to change it to dinner because Seymen and I were having a hard time waking up for lunch time...hehehe :-) So now we're going to dinner.
