Multiple Postings
I'm posting more than once tonight, in the time span of 5 minutes, because I'm really bored...And I don't want to watch TV, and I just want to talk on the phone to someone, but it's already late on the East Coast, and the plan for tonight is that Seymen and I can only talk for 10-15 minutes at a time, when he's taking a break, and then he'll go work for an hour or two and then we can talk another 10-15 minutes. (I'm trying to be accomodating of his working, and he's trying to accomodate my loneliness)...Sooo...ya'll will hear alot from me tonight.
Ok...So quick funny/cute story from my Turkish class. You know how in Spanish and French they have no seperation between male and female. It's Me, You, he/she/it, We, You formal or You plural, and They. Well...Same in Turkish (and as a side note: which is why Seymen always ends up calling girls HE/HIM and guys: SHE/HER)...anyway, my teacher was trying to explain to Tracy and I when to use the formal you/plural you...basically, Siz is like saying Y'all...and only in Texas do we receive this explaination. I don't know. Kind of a stupid story, but he was so cute. This old Turkish professor telling us Siz=Ya'll like it was the most obvious thing, and it totally makes sense. It's too bad the rest of the America can't say Y'all. It's so practical.
Let's see...So tonight I met Heidi and Nate for dinner in Pflueggerville (that's pronounced: FLU-GRRRR-VILLE) @ Chedders. It was so delicous. Especially because I'm still weary of cooking in my apartment kitchen until they fumagate for Roaches again (Which is supposed to be tomorrow). Anyway...that was fun. And YUMMY...But I need to get away from the cheeses man. I eat cheese every day for at least every meal here...and I don't even really like cheese that much, but man...you have got to taste the Queso here. It's amazing. And addicting. Everything is addicting. Right now I"m completely and totally addicted to Propel. When Chrissy, Seymen and Jake were visiting, I made Jake and Chris take me to Sams, and Jake had to carry up two cases of Propel to my apartment so I didn't have to carry it. (I live on the third floor with 6 sets of stairs and it's HELL getting up)...anyway, I'm almost done with BOTH cases!!! I have like maybe 4 left. It's only been not even 3 weeks! And I bought an extra 6 pack when I stayed at Heidi's!! Damn Gina!!
Speaking of Gina...My friend Gina that I grew up with, who's parent's live across the street from my parents, (and who I went to Ireland with last year) is going to Turkey!!!! With Sarah Rice, who we went to high school with. Sarah is living in Germany now, and Gina is going to visit. And Gina, Sarah and her TURKISH boyfriend are going to TURKEY when Gina is VISITING!!! I'm SOOOO JELOUSE!!! But totally excited for her...I wanna goooooooooooooooooo!!!
OK...Gotta go. It's time for my 10-15 mins. talking to Seymen. Byeeee
